TomTom introduces TomTom GO LIVE WORLD 1005, an edition of the GO LIVE 1005 with the new TomTom Go LIVE Search & services (including Expedia and TripAdvisor) and Twitter functionality on board.
The Twitter functionality of the TomTom GO LIVE 1005 WORLD offers an option to the destination and expected arrival time to share with your Twitter followers. You put the tweet ready to go and you can then concentrate on the road. During the trip you do not have to worry about informing your followers about arrival time. During the trip, the expected time updated. All Twitter functions are optional to use and, depending on your preferences, on and off.
The new Expedia function in the Search & Go LIVE portfolio during your trip, you can compare accommodation prices. TripAdvisor provides access to live independent reviews of restaurants, hotels and theaters. You also have access to TomTom Places, the TomTom search for shops, businesses, products and services. TomTom Places provides search facilities to you based on a keyword (eg Nike or coffee) fast local businesses find that a particular brand or specific service delivery.
Search all new and Go LIVE Services work seamlessly with the mapping and routing technology from TomTom. If you’ve seen reviews and have decided on your destination, you automatically the best route to your destination to see. The TomTom LIVE system calculates the fastest route, taking into account possible traffic jams, using TomTom HD Traffic.
The TomTom GO LIVE 1005 WORLD includes maps of Europe (including Turkey and Russia), the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and Southern Africa. The navigation system is available from November 14, 2011 for € 349.95 (includes one year free LIVE services like HD Traffic). The GO LIVE 1005 WORLD also features Bluetooth for hands-free calls and voice control.
