RIM Announces 7-inch BlackBerry playbook

Research In Motion (RIM) last night announced the BlackBerry playbook. A small 7-inch tablet which tablet to the new BlackBerry OS is running and must enter the competition with Apple’s iPad.

RIM’s CEO Mike Lazaridis made the BlackBerry tablet revealed at the annual Developer Conference. The BlackBerry playbook thus has a relatively small 7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. All this is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, something that the RIM playbook, according to the fastest tablet on the market.
