The LG Optimus 2X (P990), the LG Optimus 3D (P920) and the LG Optimus Black (and White) (P970) now run upon delivery still on Android 2.2 Froyo. As a result, falling behind competing models of Samsung, HTC and Sony Ericsson, all of which are already standard Android 2.3 Gingerbread feature.

LG rolls this month finally Gingerbread updates for its Optimus smartphones. The 2.3 update is available in Europe from November 1 for the LG Optimus 2X. 21 and 28 November in Europe following the 2.3 updates for 3D Optimus and Optimus Black. Android 2.3 does include an enhanced interface and improved on-screen keyboard and easier copy / paste-able text.

Whether there ever an update to follow the recently introduced Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, is not yet known.

November 3, 2011 – For the original LG Optimus 7 is an update to Windows Phone 7.5 Mango available via Zune software you install on your PC or Mac. Drawback is that this update supports the Dutch language, the language of the original operating system continues to maintain the update (and the original Dutch Windows Phone has not yet supported). LG introduces therefore now a version of the Optimus 7 with standard Windows Phone 7.5 on board – is that Dutch support.

The hardware specifications (a 3.8-inch multi-touch display, a 5-megapixel camera, 16GB memory) of the LG Optimus 7.5 are identical to the first launched LG Optimus 7.

Besides a Dutch user interface, the Optimus 7.5 fully integrated communications: the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango version can easily switch between SMS, Facebook, Twitter and Windows Live Messenger in a conversation. Users also have access to the Dutch marketplace and more likely to download paid applications, such as popular Xbox games.

The LG Optimus 7.5 has a suggested retail price of 319 euros and available immediately. That’s nearly 100 more than the price at which the original Optimus 7 is currently available.

The 64GB memory of the HP Slate 2 can be expanded with SD memory cards. The 680 gram tablet Windows 7 Professional also has a VGA webcam, a 3-megapixel camera and support for WiFi, Bluetooth and Ethernet. 3G support is optional. It will also support Swype, which you can write messages quickly with a finger (or the included stylus) on the touchscreen to “sweep”. There is also a docking station for HP Slate 2 available, which features two USB 2.0 ports and an HDMI connection.

The HP Slate 2 Slate follows the HP 500 and is available worldwide from November. HP’s new Windows 7 tablet will cost $ 699 (converted about 440 euros, but the prices are usually one-on-1 transferred). Optionally there is a cover of Bluetooth keyboard available. Information on the availability and exact price for the Benelux is not yet known.

The Twitter functionality of the TomTom GO LIVE 1005 WORLD offers an option to the destination and expected arrival time to share with your Twitter followers. You put the tweet ready to go and you can then concentrate on the road. During the trip you do not have to worry about informing your followers about arrival time. During the trip, the expected time updated. All Twitter functions are optional to use and, depending on your preferences, on and off.

The new Expedia function in the Search & Go LIVE portfolio during your trip, you can compare accommodation prices. TripAdvisor provides access to live independent reviews of restaurants, hotels and theaters. You also have access to TomTom Places, the TomTom search for shops, businesses, products and services. TomTom Places provides search facilities to you based on a keyword (eg Nike or coffee) fast local businesses find that a particular brand or specific service delivery.

The TomTom GO LIVE 1005 WORLD includes maps of Europe (including Turkey and Russia), the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and Southern Africa. The navigation system is available from November 14, 2011 for € 349.95 (includes one year free LIVE services like HD Traffic). The GO LIVE 1005 WORLD also features Bluetooth for hands-free calls and voice control.

These are the existing models, but with some better hardware on board. So now you can go for a 15 inch or 17 inch MacBook Pro with an AMD Radeon HD 6770M GPU. The 13-inch MacBook Pro can now be ordered with a 2.8 GHz Core i7 or Core i5 Processor 2.4 GHz (2.7 GHz, respectively, before it was a 2.3 GHz Core i7 and i5 processor).

The 15-inch base model now comes with a 2.2 GHz Intel Quad Core i7 processor, which is also a slight increase compared to the 2.0 GHz processor out there for this worthwhile endeavor. There is also tampered with the storage capacity of the 13-inch base model, which now amounts to 500GB.

The models are now available on Apple’s website. The 13-inch MacBook Pro is available from € 1149, € 1749 from the 15-inch and 17 inch from € 2499.

1. Mario Kart 7

Many gamers (including me) have been tempted to buy a Nintendo console for Mario Kart. Is enough to drive around to want nothing else and if you also have some friends who want to join, then you will never have another game to touch. For the Nintendo 3DS version will not reinvent the wheel and the features that are new, it sounds interesting to me, not determined. So you can look in the eyes of the driver. The idea is of course that this is a beautiful 3D-image problems, but frankly I feel it rare. Just old skool Mario Kart is more than enough.

2. Monster Hunter Tri G

In Europe, Monster Hunter may not be ‘big deal’, but in Japan there are probably already people in line for the 3DS game. Nintendo may be in his hands that squeeze their latest Capcom Monster Hunter game will bring out the 3DS, because it means a guaranteed boost in sales of the handheld. No idea what I’m talking about? That might be because although the friendly Monster Hunter 3 on Wii has done, we are in Europe en masse to hunt all kinds of hot samples. Especially when it is so time consuming as in Monster Hunter. You have to love it and Japan is exactly the case. And no, I’m not going to preach that we in Europe need to wake up and the series should embrace.

3. Kid Icarus

For years the Nintendo fanboys beg for a new Kid Icarus game in the lead and after some rows in Super Smash Bros. plague. Brawl Nintendo decided the angel still again his own game show. In Kid Icarus will be flying around a lot as expected (you will also be able to walk) and that is a great idea with the 3D effect of the Nintendo 3DS. The first images show at least see the graphic picture entirely correct. A bit sad: Kid Icarus is one of the titles from the announcement of the 3DS has been much in the spotlight, but with Nintendo to date no firm release date has pasted on. The game should still be sometime before we him forget.

4. 3D Super Mario Land

The first thing I wondered when the 3DS was presented was, “what will it mean for the 3D effect gameplay.” This yields the pretty pictures and your nightmares of nasty enemies that seem to crawl out the window, I think so. For me to new game concepts and that we frankly very little on the 3DS. Who else but Mario has to be the pioneer in this field. Super Mario Land 3D seems to be just a new adventure of plumber always pleasant, but Nintendo has pulled some shenanigans with the 3D effect. For example, certain passages hidden in the depths, so that you can only see when you slice up the 3D turned on. It becomes even more complicated if platforms are located in the depth and there is a small trap. It must still be somewhat playable. But let’s face it, Nintendo screwed up a Mario game that will not and therefore can not be the case with Super Mario Land 3D. Oh yes, the brother of Mario also gets its own game Luigi’s Mansion 2, but he really should remain in the shadow of the man with the red cap.

5. Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D

Although we still know very little of Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D, are just some of the data set. First, Hideo Kojima is behind this game. I was in Super Mario Land 3D position on new game concepts and let Kojima exactly the man who comes with nifty gameplay elements that nobody thought of it, but just be really cool. That this is true, proves one of the trailers that appeared in the game. Here are the images we have seen so far anyway really wonderful 3D Snake Eater, where the 3D effect in that area has added value. Think of a snake out of the screen seems to come through while you’re crawling on a swamp. Exciting.
